THE WRITINGS OF ALEX W. MORGAN
BY: Alex W. Morgan
My first memory of Creative Writing started
when I was only fifteen years old. I wrote a
song entitled "Goodbye My Sweetheart." In
today's standards it was pretty bad.
When I entered into the military at the young
age of seventeen I began to write more songs.
By the time I was honorably discharged from
the military I had a notebook full of songs that
I had written.
The strange thing about me writing songs is
that I cannot read or write music. What I do is
formulate, or create the music in my head and
put words to that music. Through the years I
have sang those songs on tape so that way I
have the words and music together on tape.
Sounds kind of strange, but that is the way I
write my songs.
I now have many notebooks filled with the
songs that I have written. Most of these songs
have been copyrighted. I send in the songs
written down on paper along with a tape that
I sing those songs on.
Since the time that I have become a Christian
I now write mostly Christian songs of Praise
and Worship. I have also written many writings
that I call Spiritual Writings. I guess they could
be called Prayers or something like those found
in the book of Psalms.
I have also written many Short Stories and have
written two novels, one of which is a 158 page
children's book, coprighted and published,
"MARUPA-The Legend of the Black Pearl."
I am almost finished with the sequel to that
novel.
